A beautiful and great playing 1984 Burny Super Grade Les Paul Style Guitar with a newer SKB Hardshell Case.I am dating this guitar from the serial number in the pickup cavity starting with 4.see pic 11This cool guitar sounds as good as it looks. The L-8000 Pickups are fat and full of tone. The original caps were switched out sometime in its life but the originals are still in the case. The rest of the guitar is stock original! The two piece Birdseye Maple veneer top is just beautiful with the Cherry Sunburst finish.
Nice off center two piece back. The original frets have a ton of life left in them. Original Nickle Bridge and tailpiece and it has the original Kluson style Single Ring TunersCheck those pics!It has a nice set up great with awesome playing low action. You may want to raise it some for maximum note bending.
The Truss Rod works as it should and again, this guitar sounds fantastic. I had to turn my normal volume setting down on my preview amp. The pickups are that strong. This cool guitar weighs in at 9 lbs 12 ozs. Sustains all day! This guitar is used so it has various dings and scratches but all superficial items.
Worse is the bang on the top. Please see picture 5.You can buy a more expensive Les Paul guitar but comparing the features of these Burny guitars, I’m not sure why.Just look at what you get:A solid good quality mahogany back (often 2 piece. But sometimes 3)A one piece mahogany neck (often with a separate neck cap)Two piece solid centred, sometimes very nicely figured maple topQuality Gotoh Kluson style tunersA nice rosewood boardThin poly finishNickel hardwareFret bindingWeight around 9 lbsVery good Fernandes pickupsCorrect headstock and neck angleBe sure to check out the shown newer SKB Hardshell Case I am sending this beautiful guitar in.
